Despite its incredible size, the Hungarian Warmblood Horse is remarkably graceful and agile. They are very tall and large, and yet somehow still light and elegant. The best word to describe the Hungarian is perhaps 'regal.' The horse comes in any solid color and is often seen in an eye-catching white.

The breed is known not only for its grace and abilities in the sporting ring, but also its intelligence. The bloodline of the Hungarian Sport Horse, as it's sometimes called, has produced a number of international champions, including Randi, a well-known show jumper, and Heritage Poker, another infamous show jumper. This is credited to the horse's fine conformation, but also its ability to respond to training, communicate with its rider, and comprehend subtle commands.

Not just a show jumper, the Hungarian Warmblood Horse competes in a number of sports, including cross-country racing, driving, and dressage – a form of horse ballet that tests the animal's training level as well as its grace and agility.

One important thing to note about the Hungarian is that it's known to be a bit picky about who it likes, so it has to get used to you. Showing a bit of patronage might be a quick way of getting on its good side.

The breed was originally developed in Hungary at the Mezohegyes State Stud. Through a selective breeding program involving various lighter Hungarian breeds and noted warmblooded sport horses such as the Hanoverian, the breed was created.
