Javanese, like Balinese, are a longhair oriental. They have the grace and sleekness of Siamese cats, but the long and luxurious coats of their Balinese brothers. The one thing that distinguishes Javanese from Balinese cats are the colors on their points (that is, tails, face, ears, and paws). Their svelte bodies are accented beautifully by their silky coats, and even though Javanese are longhair cats, they don't shed a lot and are very easy to maintain.
Ranked as one of the most intelligent breeds, the Javanese can be very clever. You can see the alertness and curiosity in their eyes and just know that they're trying to figure out a way to break into your cupboards. They, most likely, will figure it out. Javanese also like to use their paws, whether to open doors or simply get your attention.
Javanese will use their voices too. Though not as loud as Siamese, they do enjoy participating in discussions and letting you know when they want your attention. And though they appear quite regal with their fancy coats, a Javanese will often surprise you with acrobatic feats and extraordinary jumps.
Like the Balinese, the Javanese are descended from the Siamese cat, and came to be after breeders started to mate longhair Siamese together.
