An older natural breed, the Korat, also known as The Good Luck Cat is a muscular shorthair distinguished by its startling bluish-silver color. It is one of the few breeds that only has one color, and it is accented by their remarkable big, green eyes and pointy ears.

Gentle and quiet, the Korat can be easily startled by sudden or loud noises, so it's recommended to acclimatize them to noise and activity from an early age. The Korat is also known for bonding very strongly with its owner. They love nothing more than to be cuddled, touched, and loved by those they trust.

The Korat will get along well with other cats, but because of their strong ties to owners, the Korat does not like to be displaced in what if often feels is its place as the number one feline. It's important to give a Korat as much attention and petting as you can.

One of the oldest natural cat breeds, the Korat is native to Thailand where it is a beloved symbol of good fortune. They are often given in pairs to newlyweds as a symbol of good luck.
