Small and pixie-like, the Singapura is sure to win your heart. This adorable shorthair feline is characterized by its seemingly massive, expressive eyes and big, pointy ears. With their light beige color and distinct facial features, they often resemble a much smaller Abyssinian.

Extremely extroverted and very vocal, the Singapura loves to interact with people. Whether it's participating in conversations, helping you get ready, or showing off for guests, the Singapura is always the hit of a party. This lithe little cat will often introduce itself to every stranger it meets and seems to be comfortable adapting to new surroundings and people.

Like most Oriental breeds, they are very intelligent and curious. However, the Singapura is rarely destructive or mischievous. Alert and inquisitive, the Singapura loves to watch the action from up high and will often surprise you by appearing atop doorways, window sills, roof beams, and refrigerators.

Found on the streets of Singapore, where the cat still lives today, the Singapura was first brought to the United States in the 1970s. It has since grown to be a popular and loved breed.
